FNCC is a joint venture between the French parastatals and the Namibian private sectors it's aim is to preserve and enhance local art and culture at its grassroots through private investors and non governmental organizations despite its low key approach it has grown into a highly manageable size arts and culture platform able to manage huge amounts of sessions on its own it has brought up a lot of new artist and craftsmen through its attachments situated a stones throw from the National Art Gallery in Windhoek's CBD.
The Railway museum of Okahandja carries with it a lot of history from the colonial days to present with artworks and photo images of lifestyle and scenes from different sets in the countries existence Okahandja itself was the capital in its heydays usually throughout much of the 1800's not much has changed except for a few modern architecture focused on private property it's stable but slow development throughout its existence and a major stop over for the railway has all been documented imagery and documentation.

Henckerts is mostly a Souvenir and Gifts shop in the main road to the coastal areas but valuable art pieces can be found displayed between racks artist would sometimes drop by and trade with the owners being a reasonably good gifts shop that price items on the old charts where size is more valued then detail you might have to value the pieces yourself because hardly any documentation is kept from the original artist.
Ousus is just right across the old filling station more recognizable on site for it's gifts shop appearance from the outside and occasional tourist making it through the doors the town might be as old as the country itself but practically no development has taken place since it's colonial days when it acted as a railways major stopover stationary procurement station but with the quick advancement in modern technology transport vehicles can cover a wider range,deserting the town and its occupants what draws artist and exhibitors to this village settlement is it's remarkable landscape filled with mountains,peaks and valleys the evening weather might be unpredictable but it makes a incredible photographers haven.
The Damara are part of the largest non bantu natives of Africa they predominantly live in the Southwestern part of the continent and are closely adapted to its climate and environment they are close relatives of the Southern African San People and speak Khoe a click language spoken throughout Namibia,despite their recent secluded location on the western district of the country they used to live throughout the rest of the bushveldt and Twyfelfontein is where they display their art and culture in a controlled live theatrical production.
Swakopmund is the holiday destination for a huge majority of regional travellers of the south west it boasts a sizeable crowd in the southern hemispheres summer holidays season and with it huge amounts of art from visitors and guests a like trying to make some quick bucks out of the conundrum thats going on around the beaches this artist bring with them a whole lot of modern art handpicked and collected by galleries and collectors displaying them correctly and for collectors during the off season which usually is the European Summer Holidays this prices are more valued then the rest.
Kirikara is a Art gallery that is set throughout the country like a franchise it rotates art through its shops it also has branches in other African countries spreading its spear of interest the pieces aren't only regional but are drawn from across the continent if you are looking for something interesting but not regional try them they also have a branch in Windhoek.
