This list has a wide variety of artist from a acute angle of mixed rich music genre we chose this list on basis of popularity artistic influence and financial contributions and some unique attributes the artist delivered to move the Namibian Music away from its mediocre urban African identity and make it a stable industry that might one day support its own formal career music artist.

And without further introductory comments, the 1st place on this list will be going to an artist who only recently made a media presence not much is known about her background and ease on the road still a bit unsettled but headed the right way is M.L

# 1.ML

image

M.L has been rising in the Namibian music scene as one of the extensively popular performers in the months that past, her fluid flow rate and amazing word usage has made it a genre of its own unique establishment, she creates a formulated prestige to her lyrics and locals still strive for more and it could be a while before she slows down with many already established artists collaborating on her solo releases, and gigs coming in from all stages she set's up catchy hooks and lays down a feirce verse even to those who are not accustomed to Namibian tribal music this artist mixes local tribal lingua with urban trends little can be said about her background as she keeps a low profile and doesn't do a lot of public branding, frankly one would believe her to be a peaceful artist if you'd take her lyrics into context, but that's what we'd say and expect of most artist while on the contrary in most cases the opposite rules the majority of them.

The second spot on this weeks countdown goes to an artist that has been the single biggest entertainment brand this country has ever discerned, inferior to none its Namibia's entertainment King Gazza.

# 2.Gazza

image

Gazza has been phenomenal throughout his career in pushing this small music industry to its fringes he has done wonders for the Namibia rural music scene and if you'd image its size, his amazing branding abilities are unquestionably unique to these part of the world, if this guy wasn't an artist and a great one he is, he most certainly would have succeeded as a Marketing genius, not to forget the energy he brings to every stage he bracs with his amazing talents he is what the Hip Hop critics woulcallay has bars to is flow,as far as his support and career has gone from the early 2000s till date it's not a simple trend as those you'd expect from artist who shook the world with their talents he had a more stable ride to local stardom he seem to have mastered the locals minds set and always has a trick or two down his sleeve and makes it looks effortless simply brands it wraps it and sells it and everyone just cant get enough of it or so it appears and it feels like he hardly braced the surface it hardly looks like a lot of wonders are still to come forom Namibia's unique favourite son.

The 3rd place on this countdown goes to a pair of artist that mostly focus on the raw root tribal agenda keeping its structure to the core of the Namibian music industry they almost always represent a deep culture music genre called Damara Punch here we have T-Bozz & Staika.

# 3.T-Bozz & Staika

image

This aren't the usual artist you'd expect on a mixed countdown the only reason it elevated them to this level is the new influence characters they seem to have on the local music setting a reasonable level to what is supposed to be considered progressive tribal music and what's just generally earful, even if most of us agree that there are no humble backgrounds in the Africa rural outfits, this two artist try to make a scenic attempt to make it all look real and painless with their jumpy tribal contemporary flair and are doing a great job considering they are young artist in a music genre that incorporates a lot of affection and emotion usually reserved for more mature and self-consciousness artist with a whole lot of experience In that genre which is African Contemporary and yet Damara punch is much more modern in hymn and melody and involves a lot of acoustics and strings much like 80's Pop with an African twist.

The 4th spot on this countdown goes to the artist that gets most of his work done as an urban Hip Hop producer than he does being accomplished vocal artists or M.C here we have Arafat.

Footloose Archives Lifestyle

# 4.Arafath

image

For those who listen to a lot of Hip Hop you might have run into the name DJ Khalid well well be frank Arafath and Khalid share the same Soundex code, and if your not that into Hip Hop they are custom sound engineers of the Hip Hop music genre who'd feature Vocal artist and M.C's on their singles and share credits in most cases, in addition a lot of work goes into sound effects and glory tunes but professionals make it look effortless and artist like Arafath with tiny studios with little back up staff and a massive impact have to apply a little more elbow grease and endure sleepless nights to get the exact replica of what they imagine the end product to be, there are a lot of sound production engineers like him all over the country just doing the exact same think that he does some might even be better but like they say you are worth nothing if no one knows what you are capable of, and that's where artist like Arafath thrive he makes sure everything he touches reaches the Namibian mainstream even if it costs him an arm and a leg because nothing big comes from thinking small.

The 5th place on this weeks countdown goes to an artist making a big deal of herself not just in the country but attacking the continent breaking down bears although see might be new on the scene it is Lioness.

# 5.Lioness

image

Lioness is a Namibian Hip Hop and Pop music artist this was a groundbreaking year for her music leaving her brand where and whenever she gets a chance young beautiful and ambitious could be mistaken for a catwalk model, but her looks seem to fall only second to her talent as an M.C and her smooth vocals and how she effortlessly interchange between the two in one go makes her music intriguing and adding a catchy hook just makes it more impressive a trend that has become mainstream in the black female artists character lately and how she does it can only be enacted and sometimes surpassed by her fellow Namibian chart-topper Ghetto Ballerina also sharing the same genre she with her but the two of them are uniquely Namibian even though the same trend in musical artistry and genius is practised through the world by various young female, what makes lioness very extraordinary is that she could make it in any stereotype female industry and actually excel.

The next artist on this list is an artist signed by one of the most celebrated artists in Namibian The Dogg and his Mshasho Music Production, unlike most artist that sign for mainstream Studios he actually surpassed his expectations and still seem to be doing well this place goes to Young T.

# 6.Young T

image

Young T is a Namibian Urban music artist his lyrics are usually written and expressed in a Bandu dialect called Oshiwambo he has been around for a couple of years now but seem to have grown more expressive and settled in and that encouraged him to take on more brave lyrical content and bigger stages not that it actually matters much in Namibia's small tough crowds if you lack talent of which he doesn't and where he lacks he makes up for with hype but Young T has grown into an existing support staff and an already established fan base thanks to one of the countries successful music productions but while most young talents will ride the wave out for them Young T seem to have risen beyond it all and forged himself a unquestionable influence and devotees that hang one to everyone that comes from his poetic lyrics,a artist with so much ambience and calm to his music and a experienced background staff and support with everything in his arsenal he still delivers every time he braces the centre stage.

The Next artist is more self-centred and depended on raw creativity and artistic bravery he carves his own genre and dance to his own theme not reliant on mainstream traditional pop culture for guidance and Hip Hip trends for soul searching a rock star to his disciples yet actually very good at what he it's Elemoto

# 7.Elemotho

image

Elemotho is an African Tribal Cultural music artist and an unorthodox one for that breaking every rule yet keeping what most would regard as the most important ingredient that's Heritage a creative genius most would consider his music as mindless dribble and gibberish but when you attend his concerts it all seems to make sense this is more a display of African lineage than it is a Popular Music Showcase but just the genius of how it's carefully constructed and calm and soothing makes one wonder just where he is going to take it next just because he focuses on tribal theme makes it a music brand set for exhibition purposes than it is entertainment and the field mob seems to reflect the occasion the traditional African enthusiast and tourist a fitting outfit for the occasion there might not be a lot of hype around this artist but he seems to have found the perfect place to practice his wonderful yet strange craft.

The 8th place on this countdown goes to Namibia's urban music and culture liaison no one has exported Namibian urban culture to Europe than Eez has done throughout his career and more patriotic than your Average young black Namibian it's Eez.

# 8.Ees

image

Ees is a Namibian Urban music artist of german origin he has been around its frings since it induction phase when it started to move in a direction of its own carving it's own existence and existence like Ees have been the revolutionaries that helped shaped it and giving it an independent indentity of its own still a respectable artist till date he spent most of his career branding a formidable brand with merchandising and distribution channels forging a marketable gap in an industry that hardly existed without supporting cast from neighbouring countries usually a distribution end juncture than a support group for African music but artistic geniuses like Ees and their loyal supporters and thier courage to delve into their pockets and get support form Neighbouring functions got the industry rolling today it's still undocumented and no can make an estimate of it's worth and still requires alot of twicking and as but with Ees and his fellow pioneers still alive and active and the industry in its infancy there's still a whole lot more to expect and witness and with European career kicking off there plenty more to come from this great artist slash entrepreneur.

The 8th place on this weeks countdown goes to a female artist that considers herself a recognisable artistic Hip Hop rapper who specializes In modern clutch rap and cranky vocal satire a one of a kind in this mean industry it's Ghetto Ballerina.

# 9.Ghetto Ballerina

image

Ghetto Ballerina is a Namibian Hip Hop and R&B artist with a fluent approach to her music that enacts the American genre with perfect finance she went the extra mile to articulate her voice and tone to fit the genre and to very susceptible to mistake her for an extended version of an black American artist if you listen to her music on stereo speakers mischievous and daring despite her attempts to separate her more well-staffed and supported fellow artist her style has a bit more down to earth spike to it and she tends to remove all the complex rhetoric from its character giving justice to her track typically poorer recording studio environment a gimmick not a lot of amateur recording artist can manoeuvre around and gate crash while still leaving her artistic brilliance unscathed leaving a unspoiled beautiful and original outcome its no doubt that an artist like her requires more airtime in a reputable recording environment would be something worth listening to.

The Final spot on this countdown goes to an Artist who hit the ground running after a brief appearance of an African reality show and still comes up with great success in a limited and less complex African entertainment industry it's Elvis Prinsloo.

# 10.Elvis se $eun (Stefan Ludik)

image

Elvis Se Seun is the stage name of a Namibian multi-platform entertainer, artist and actor his resume runs deep mostly in the Afrikaans Entertainment outfit his music range from modern pop to authentic adult contemporary he's been at it since the early 2000s and still active a phantom in his stature a creative genius of many trades mostly applies his mastery in Neighborhood South Africa were he single-handedly sculpted out a little fraternity of followers for himself who gives him the same treatment a American boy band receives and it's no hype he has the X-factor mix it with his will to succeed and you have a 5 star African Superstar, and despite its size the Afrikaans entertainment industry is well structured and engaging and can easily last a lifetime with that said he has a long and expandable career ahead of himself already a superstar in this little part of the world.
