The list below consist of the popular hotels and designated lodges along Namibia longest stretched highway the B1 Highway that runs diagonally across the center of the country infamously called the Sidewinder due to the fact that clampsy driving on this Highway are quick, silent and lethal just like the Namib Desert Viper it's named after, this lonely stretch of highway is one of the longest driving you would encounter on a paved road on the African continent although it's 1,536 kilometres long it has some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet with complementary Wildlife alongside some of the most incredible hospital accommodations in the country and here they are starting from the south end.
Noordoewer has been a passerby's lodging for centuries and as the regions economy and tourism sector matures so does the complexity of this little town the size of the travellers through towns like this have to carry a load full of travellers with different prerequisites and weight and small town accommodations such as the Orange River Lodge have ingenuously worked around initiatives to set them apart from highly competitive lodging closer across the border(South Africa) and even if this initiatives are in their infancy they look lucrative, this little lodging is set on the foot heels on the recluse orange river in with a big beautiful sunset with a dry but gentle arid ecosystem as it's backdrop.
Keetmanshoop is the Capital of the South and carries the burden of maintaining a reasonably high and deterring standard amongst natives.accommodation standards are high and so are the prices staff are more engaging and entrusively friendly, guest are impartial with a peculiarly gloomy environment set as it's background pilled up with the surrounding arid dry scorchingly hot temperature to set your mood into new lows you never knew even existed, that feeling is customary to anyone except in a few places where the town just lights up to give you that daisy feeling where visitors from outside the continent gather in casual atire occasionally in the European summer holidays they visit places with names of their origins like the Schützenhaus among others.
Mariental is the countries little big town set in the mid south,it has one of the longest day world although locals are less engaging and secluded they keep a fairly reasonable hospital environment it is said to have one of the most beautiful sunsets and night stars in the world everything in case of accommodation is uniformly of tipsy standard, staff, food exedra,no Hotels over spending on modern gestures although everything you get in a 2 star hotel across the entire town, but /Aub Guesthouse gets a little bit eccentric and added some modern upgrades for the guest pleasure.
Rohoboth is a stones throw from the capital in a Namibians perspective about 70km to the south it is where the Southern culture blends with the more densely populated north of the country that fusion brings with it more diverse cultural relations between locals and guest communications are more open and casual the food complex and adventurous, the reception you get there is customary throughout the entire northern half of the country as a guest it's a town where a lot of mediocre north american pop culture is practiced including art and social, this small town is divided into sectors it has much to do with racial and social segregation than anything else started in the pre-apartheid era it has no connections to post white rule,a practice brought along from South Africa where the majority of the towns locals are descendants.but the Ochsenwagen seems to have morally distanced itself from all the flim flamery and sets a modernised hospitality services.
Okahandja is a little Garden town set roughly 50km to the north of the capital although gardening is less practiced in recent years, and social culture might be a bit dried up and customary it still has a reasonably good hour or two in it that's if you are into art and beef, even the accommodations are affordably reasonable probably the best priced on the list the vegetation around the town is much rich the landscapes more expressed and wildlife more accessible, the B1 Highway more active and potent the Highest counts of incidents on the B1 take place around here, the local spirit is high around here compared to the peace and quite in the South, probably set by the mixed race of people and culture including regional stowaways, migrants and asylum seekers even if it's toned down to single digits compared to what we see in western media,Namibia is a country with a low population and one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world so expect social interactions at their lowest you have more engaging moments with nature in Namibia than you do with locals if you need more secure, friendly and less intrusive engagements with natives you visit places like the Okahandja Country Hotel even though there is no guarantee you might more to do with regional culture differences than anything else.
Otjiwarongo is the capital of that Namibia Wilderness and needs to have the best safari lodging and Guesthouses the area is dense in veld bushing and Wildlife in plenty just about any animal that has to be on the African continent can be seen here up close and in person this is the secret hunting spot for Wildlife photographers from all over the world sponsorships to sanctuaries come from all over the planet and they are successful conservatives although poaching in anonymous there is quite a lot of resistance coming from conservationist and environmentalist to break any trends of the sort but with the persistent drought and spontaneously deteriorating economy pressured by arguably corrupt and politicaly unstable neighbouring governments poachers tend to go aggressively extreme and desperate on their quest to put food on the tables of their hungry families, to engage with local conservationist and active participants that are on the front to save this beautiful animals and keep a reasonably stable wildlife and human relation guest usually visit local Hotels like Cest So Bon and get some proper insight on this sort of matters and progress.
Tsumeb not so far from Otjiwarongo is a deformed mining town with a collapsed economy scrabbling any sort of existence from its past successes monuments of mines and abandoned factories haunt the town densely populated in the past where wealth was openly displayed today it's slowly deteriorating just like so many in the country now hopelessly trying to rebrand itself into a culture hub it still hasn't appeal to the better side of the locals let along guests, fairly centered around art and culture that have a much stronger heritage somewhere else around the country despite its economic drawbacks Tsumeb still has much to offer the sudden fame that gave it it's glory in the past also left behind a group of locals that are the most engaging with guest in the entire country the wealth of the past must have open them to socially open citizens that would exchange topics with guest on any levels and places like the Makalani are just one of those truelly rare places.
Omuthiya is the Gateway to the most densely populated regions of the country where mixed ethnic groups are rare custom practices are formulated and tradional African social practices are portrait openly and proudly although wildlife, landscapes and vegetation are pretty much less intrusive this area is more information contained than most, and are the least to engage in formal social practices with people of European descendancy much to do with colonial and apartheid conquest this group had one of the most horrific onslaughts of the apartheid era then most and are still sceptic then most when visiting around here if you are from European descent it's less intrusive to take one of the customary Hotels like the City Lodge boutique it keeps you at bay from normal social proceeding and get a clearer image of the towns locals and recommendations are easy from places like this.
The most youth inspired town in entire country this town has the most socially active youth in the entire country and just as influential the flair just follows engaging in everything from politics to rural trading what makes them so flamboyant is their habit on playing second fiddle to their more economically stable neighbor(Oshakati) although the backdrops might be identical quoting in regional perspective, that friendly competition seem to have moulded the much smaller of the 2 towns into above the average IQ levels and fearless attitude towards favouritism and monarchism still in the regions where the atmosphere suddenly changes when a men of European descent enters a room and social engagements are halted to an almost complete standstill, the best recommendation we could give you is the Palm View Hotel still in the mix of things yet fairly secluded just emphasizing nothing to do with safety this is actually the safest part of the entire country you will ever be in no gaurentee since this is Africa everything is sudden and not for certained.
The Final town on this list is Oshikango usually the end point of most of the trade that makes it from South Africa to Angola eventhough both South Africa and Angola have reasonably sized Harbours Traders still make use of the denturies old trade route through Namibia much to do with logistics laws concerning Bay taxes among others the town of Oshikango has benefited substantially from this traffic and as both countries mature there are considerable amounts of inland trades between the two unlike the south Oshikango plays dominant to the accommodations industry much to the informal exchange of currency some locals might just have gotten more than what they bargained for and invested that money into Businesses besides being one of the towns with the flashiest displays of wealth, Hotels in this Town are widely exaggerated besides their prices being the lowest and most Affordable, if luxury hotels are what you are looking Oshikango is where they are at and the Sun Square is just one of them as a African trading town it might not be the cleanest on the list or have to wildlife and landscapes that would be of high interest although Africa has just too many surprises in itself.

A little Honourable mention for the Gabus Game Ranch Safari Lodge(Otavi) that didn't make the list, this time round but still loved by many in this part of the world.
