This list contains most important auctions sites if you are in the livestock business run through it and make some turns around this sites you don't know what you might run into.

The top stop goes to a district locally known as the cattle country Gobabis.

Gobabis a small town that farmers to the east of Namibia have been using as a platform to display and exhibit their dominance in livestock culture especially the cattle has played a huge role in the development of Namibia's Agricultural Research local auctions held in and around this town have been quite successful and sustainable if for once any price increases in the countries agricultural sector where to come up it will most definitely come from the demands set in this farming areas.

At No.2 the district with the highest concentrated with abandoned wildlife Outjo.

areas has not been a great deal in the past but it's sustainable rain forecasts and even though a bit clunky,it's high property valued farmlands has made it a suitable place to hold financially lucrative auctions farmers flock from all corners of the land to take part in this auctions where wealth is displayed at it's best.

At No.3 the Namibian version of a typical farmland the Otjiwarongo District.

Otjiwarongo not so far from outjo is a great place to start farming and attend season livestock auctions if you are a conservative groups of farmers or in the livestock industry its not so dry in the drought season and not too wet in the rainy season farming areas are vast and favourable wildlife are common housing fairly priced but farmland might put your budget in the red.

Windhoek the capital has been more a display platform for quality and bragging rights the auctions are fair to low but breeders get to show off their best quality breeds and send a clear message to the industry that they are open for business it's where traders and breeders usually meet and exchange advice and information rather than set out to make a profit.

No.5 on this weeks list goes to the dry arid bare lands of the deep south Keetmanshoop.

Keetmanshoop is vast and the dry spell extended but small livestock tend to be at ease and mature well it's where small livestock farmers display their own little swaraids if you are on the look for good quality small livestock mostly goats and sheep your most likely going to find it in this region auctions might be a little uncomfortable merely to the fact that farmers already have a steady supply of clients they depend on and don't want to compromise relationships.

The 6th place on the list is handed to the acceptable and versatile district where sunlight comes in plenty the Mariental District.

Mariental not so far from Keetmanshoop if you look at it from a Namibians context is the closest rival to the Keetmanshoop auctions it's stock more vast from pig to turkey and geese is a great place to start farming with exotic livestock the conditions are fairly the same as in the Keetmanshoop but the but condition being farmers are more open to new prospects and alternative views.

The 7th place on this weeks list goes to one of the districts where conventional methods of Farming actually started the Grootfontein district.

Grootfontein one of the towns first settled by modern farmers has been a lead trend setter for farming styles in Namibia for years today much more than just a farmers town it has become a wildlife habitat research and development centre with one of the countries largest wildlife resort situated close by despite the change in conditions tolerate farmers are still set on following the root traditions of the town even with uncontrolled and endangered wildlife species at their door steps put and auctions there are still highly valued and fairly priced in the Namibian Livestock industry.

The 8th place is handed to the Gates of the fairly modest Kalahari the Stampriet district.

The Stampriet Auctions, Stampriet is a backbone and root supplier of livestock to the Mariental auctions and traders who want to avoid the hassle usually go for the stampriet auctions to a first embodiment of what will be on offer and most often try to struck a deal before the stock hits the mainstream.

The No.9 place on this list is awarded to the red landscape district of Aranos.

Aranos more like stampriet is a resettlement village with most of it's farmers from the disadvantage backgrounds just trying to feast on what ever deal is put on the table just to get by and but the Aranos smallstock farmers have the advantage of choosing between the Gobabis reserved auctions and the stampriet village clearing auctions the auctions are bitter sweet with the more experienced traders hand picking what they want with little effort on affordability.

The final place on this landscape on this list awarded to the grasslands of the Okahandja district.

Okahandja a flat distance from Capital Windhoek is more of a festivities Auction exchanges are rare but fair traders are much involved here it is more of a trading experience on display rather than a live auction sellers are more tense and the buyers uneasy it is where the traders set the standards and challenges come from all angles its where new livestock traders get their hands dirty once just so many times a year.
