The Cycle Classic is held in the capital which has more opsticals of its own that you have to be on the lookout for first being the unpredictable drivers that are uneducated on behaviour when approaching cyclist note Namibia has one of the highest accidents in comparison to it's population then there are those stalking sidewalk hooligans and thugs always looking to prey on the vulnerable, then you have the scorching heat filled with the dry dusty climate mixed down with unpredictable weather changes the high altitude, hills valleys and ridges.90 degree turns matched by highly competitive athletes from all over the world this might be one more of the most dangerous, physically and mentally challenging cycling race you might will encounter if you weigh out all the con's asking just about every survival instinct your body has.
The Endurance rider has some challenges of his own in Namibia a racing platform that equals or surpass the Dakar rally stage in North Africa the climate and the terrain are exactly the same but with a twist the wildlife populations are a bit higher in Namibia precautions to the drivers livestock farming is widely practiced in industrial levels, private land is guarded with extreme pregituce, bush encroachment is on its highest, the dust is dense and can stay elevated for longer than it does in the Arab world, ridges and valleys are aplenty rain can make for different tyre grip in smaller intervals in any terrain changes often slippery and could often be nail gripping.
The race has been controversial in its form of safety some runners argue that not enough safety is made for runners despite no reports of any incidents, the distant water intervals the disobedient drivers and event management, although competitors arrive in numbers the Windhoek roads are arguably acceptable in comparison to the majority of the continent but some controversy still surrounds it's usage, driver discipline and upgradeable state, this marathon has some though stages in it despite it's surround set,the pace is high it's more down hill than anything with some sudden 90 degree turns and excessive uphill battles else its misleading competitors personal running records its a more tricky run than most the conditions can be cooler in the morning escalading to extremely scorching and dying down at dusk.
One of the toughest races in Namibia held in the second largest canyon in the world and largest in Africa most of the running takes place close to it's banks it's a personal endeavor the stage in the middle of nowhere and you are at the mercy of nature and time both blasting challenges at you on unpredictable intervals best and only way out is to finish the task at hand it cost money and time to geannually and you want to finish it the you can the terrain is rough temperatures forever souring dangers are stereotype in any survival quest.
This challenge is forced by cold elements the harsh cold current that flows from the Antarctic, ruthless pounding waves, murky waters due to wild sea weed encroachment, misty air and often drizzling rains and ungaurded shorelines with dangerous marine life including the notorious Great Whites and Orcas are just few of the obstacles you are faced with on this challenge the competition is focused and hungrier than most, this is a challenge for the extreme survival men or women, when you hit the water the rest of the world shuts down you have a time to beat and you are at the mercy of the elements.

The Tara rally is Namibia version of the Dakar open to competitors from its rough opsticals can range from sandy rocky and rare but not uncommon muddy terrains trying to beat times set by fellow drivers the event usually starts out as a small gathering of friendly motor sports enthusiasts just trying to enact events set elsewhere but suddenly escalates to raw competitive hostile work rates where supporters and racers engage in intense and professional outcomes with racers outstaging the event and it visibly small social arena.
