# What is a SUV ?
An SUV which stands for sports utility vehicle is any form of modern transport vehicle that accommodates more than 5 passengers,It is short wheel based which simply means it covers a reasonable distance in height compared to your customary sedan. Traditonally 4 wheel drive,meaning all for wheels are in constant contact with the traction surface at all time except in tactical,acrobatic or elevated scenarios,even though they are constantly used in inner cities they are best suited for outdoor activities,and have more powerful engines,higher Rev's meaning shorter breaths strokes,heavy gear changes which roughly translates to the distance in gear changes from one point of impact to the next is longer and the vehicles visual appearance is most ofen masculine that usually depends on the designer.
As an avid traveler I have had the opportunity to travel to many national parks. This week I took advantage to drive up to one of my favorites, Etosha National Park in Namibia.
I took my SUV up there for the weekend. I have to say it was a great trip. Roadtripping in my SUV was actually an unexpected joy.
The car itself was incredibly comfortable and allowed me to enjoy the views. I was even surprised with it's off road driving abilities allowing me to get off the path and explore a little. It was also great gas wise.
An average SUV can get between 26-32 miles per gallon making road trips a lot more affordable.
The gas mileage stopped unwanted stops and help me save money while getting there faster. The space the car provided was great for the trip and I drove what was around 8 hours or so very comfortably.
The trip itself was amazing. If you have not been to Etosha National Park and consider yourself a person who enjoys traveling you have to go.
I have been three times now and I have to say that it continues to amaze me. If you are planning a trip out there I would recommend to give yourself at least a week there is so much to see.
